Prime Minister Myasnikovich to attend international conference to be held in Minsk this week to mark 20th CIS founding anniversary
Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich will attend an international conference that will be held in Minsk on September 28 and 29 to mark the 20th founding anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
About 200 people, including official representatives of CIS member countries, top-ranking CIS officials, prominent public figures, politicians, scholars and businesspeople, will take part in the conference, according to the press office of the CIS Executive Committee.
Keynote speakers will include Nobel Prize-winning physicist Zhores Alferov, vice president of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Sergei Glazyev, secretary of the Commission of the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia; Mikhail Krotov, secretary general of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly; Igor Suvorov, president of the CIS Interstate Bank; Fayzullo Abdulloyev, chairman of the CIS Economic Court; Ihar Voytaw, head of Belarus' State Committee on Science and Technologies; Mikalay Lazavik, secretary of Belarus’ central election commission; and Aleksandr Sinaysky, secretary of the CIS Council of Defense Ministers. //
