Decision on Belarus\' participation in customs union will be made by the three presidents on July 5

A final decision on Belarus' participation in the customs union will be made during a meeting between the presidents of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia in Astana on July 5, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov told reporters on Thursday, BelaPAN reports.

The talks will take place within the framework of a meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC).

For their part, Russia and Kazakhstan have completed all necessary procedures for the union to take effect for them on July 1, Mr. Shuvalov said.

A final discussion in the Belarus-Kazakhstan-Russia format about "all issues necessary for the launch of the customs union" will take place during a meeting of the Customs Union Commission to be held in St. Petersburg on Friday, Mr. Shuvalov said.
